Gallery Layouts

Blende allows you to display your images in various gallery layouts, each offering a different aesthetic and user experience.

Available Gallery Layouts

Blende supports the following gallery layouts:

  • Grid: A classic, uniform grid where all images are displayed in equally sized cells. This layout is ideal for collections where you want a clean, organized look and consistent image sizes.
Best for: Portfolios, event highlights, and any gallery where uniformity is important.

  • Masonry: A Pinterest-style layout that preserves the original aspect ratio of each image, stacking them in columns of varying heights. This layout is perfect for galleries with images of different orientations and sizes, as it minimizes empty space and creates a dynamic, flowing look.
Best for: Storytelling, travel, and galleries with a mix of portrait and landscape images.

  • Justified: An edge-to-edge layout where images are arranged in rows of consistent height, but their widths vary to fill the row. This creates a visually balanced gallery with straight edges on both sides, similar to professional photo sites.
Best for: Showcasing series of images, editorial work, or any gallery where you want a polished, magazine-style appearance.

Customizing Your Layout

Beyond the main layout types, Blende provides further options to fine-tune the appearance of your galleries.

Sizing, Spacing, and Borders

You can adjust the following settings to match your aesthetic:

  • Sizing: Control the overall size of images in the grid. Choose from Small, Medium, or Large to affect how many images fit into a row or column, influencing the visual density of the gallery.
  • Spacing: Adjust the gap between images with Tight, Normal, or Wide spacing. This helps create a sense of balance and can dramatically change the gallery's feel.
  • Border Radius: Apply a border radius to your images. Options range from None (sharp corners) to Small, Medium, and Large for progressively rounder corners, adding a softer touch to your presentation.

Large Cover Image

Make a bold first impression by enabling a large hero cover image. When this option is selected, the gallery's cover image is displayed prominently at the top of the page, spanning the full width. This is perfect for highlighting your best shot and setting the tone for the entire collection.
