Gallery Visibility

There are 3 different visibility settings for your galleries. You can choose to make them public, private or password protected.

Visibility Types

Public Galleries

Public galleries are visible to everyone. Anyone can view the gallery and its images (as well as feedback, if enabled) without any restrictions. This is the default setting for new galleries.

Private Galleries

Private galleries are only visible to you, the gallery owner. No one else can see the gallery or its images. This is useful for galleries that you want to keep private, such as personal projects or work in progress.

Password Protected Galleries

Password protected galleries are visible to anyone who has the password. This is useful for sharing galleries with a select group of people, such as clients or friends, without making them public.

Changing Gallery Visibility

Tip: Public galleries can't be password protected - and vice versa.

To change the visibility of a gallery, click on the "Gallery Settings" button when viewing your gallery to bring up all settings for the gallery.

From there, find the "Visibility" section and select the desired visibility type, then hit save and you're done!

Password Protected Settings

Public Galleries

Selecting "Public" will make your gallery visible to everyone. Anyone can view the gallery and its images without any restrictions.

The gallery link will be shown below.

Password Protected Gallery

Password Protected Galleries

Selecting "Password Protected" will allow you to set a password for your gallery. This means that anyone who wants to view the gallery will need to enter the password first.

The gallery link will be shown below the password field, so you can easily share it with others.

Password Protected Gallery

To set a password for your gallery, click on the "Gallery Settings" button when viewing your gallery to bring up all settings for the gallery. Toggle the "Password Protected" option and enter a password. Then hit save and you're done!

Public, private and password URL's

Each type of gallery visibility has its own URL format:

  • Public Gallery: blende.io/username/public/galleries/gallery-name
  • Private Gallery: blende.io/username/self/galleries/gallery-name
  • Password Protected Gallery: blende.io/username/password/galleries/gallery-name

  • In the gallery settings, as shown above.
  • In the gallery overview via the "Public" badge Public Gallery Badge
